Rolls Royce develop first luxury electric car

According to the site Edie.net, luxury car manufacturer, Rolls Royce, have developed the first luxury electric car which will debut at the Geneva Motor Show on 1st March 2011.

During 2011, the 102EX Phantom will tour all over Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America and will gather research information for further development of a clean fuel powered vehicle.

Rolls-Royce, part of the BMW Group is, according to the site, “focused on an acceptable range between re-charges and the ability of the vehicle to operate in extreme weather conditions.”

This will be an exciting time for Rolls Royce and will no doubt inspire other manufacturers in the luxury car market to look to greener fuelling measures for a sustainable future.
