New drug driving and fatigue reports published by DfT.

The DfT has published online two new road safety reports . The reports can be found here:

The first is a report of a survey regarding the current procedures employed by HM Coroners in road accident cases where a fatally injured person is suspected of having been under the influence of drugs. More details can be found here:

The second is a report on fatigue and road safety produced by a consortium consisting of Clockwork Research, University of Leeds and TRL. The report aims to determine the current scale of the driver fatigue problem in the UK, highlights evidence gaps that may require further research and provides guidance for the DfT Research, Policy and Think! campaign teams. The report also provides recommendations relating to each of the key research questions proposed by the DfT at the outset of the project. Full details can be found here:
